fairings was scratch along next to the crankcase cover. part of the shifter peg chipped off. Is at hand any possible internal damge to transmision or anything in the bike since it fell on the shifter? I jsut got this bike and Im worried
If you've already laided it down, I'd think something like selling before you don't walk away from the subsequent one. Riding a bike isn't for everyone. But if you still ride, slow down and look everywhere when your riding. Keep your helmet on and wear your suit with armor or a good jacket next to armor. Be care full and ride on.
You will need some topical pegs about $25-35USD on Fleabay. You might find some OEM stock peg for cheaper. Where it is really going to hurt is your fairing. The Fairing can cost quite a bit of money. I also suggest checking fleabay for the fairing, you might be able to capture it half the price of a new one contained by good condition.
then you should slow down.
You a short time ago got this bike? OMFG
> Is there any possible internal damge to transmision or anything within the bike since it fell on the shifter?
Possible but not likely. Wipe off the externals beside a paper towel. Change the oil. Watch for grease leaks, where the shifter go into the engine, at the bottom of the crankcase cover, and at the bottom of the left side of the engine. If you're going to bend the shifter, remove it from the bike before bending!!

Answers: The shifter is going to bend road before the shaft that it's mounted to (assuming the shifter isn't mounted remotely, like a backside set of pegs, which it might be). But if the shifter is mounted directly to the shifter shaft, you still are unlikely to damage anything except the shifter, so I wouldn't sweat it. Just replace whatever is bent.
then you should slow down.
it happends. Chances are there is no internal damage. Cosmetically its going to cost you. Fairings are extraordinarily expensive. I would check ebay as much as possible

It will be okay, No engine damaged, I have my 1985 FJ600 fell down on soft ground and on concrete. It does damaged to my turn signals and few scratches. on concrete within garage. I forgot to use my kickstand. My lower fairing got cracked. I fixed it with fiberglass beside fiberglass cloth inside the fairing.
If your shifter level is bend. You can bend it back, save possible, Then get new one . If you ride and fell on side. I would check out the engine covers, trade name sure no cracks or broken covers.
One guy did fell down on his Kawasaki Ninja 600 during riding.. He picked up his bike and rode it home. He got seized motor because the cover broke and the oil come out. He didn't know the cover was broken. ( He was shocked and Didn't reason of damaged, Just pick up and drove away)
Hey man my heart goes out to ya dude, it doesn't nouns at all like it be your fault. Sometimes you hit oil or something similar to that. I was in the dmv parking lot and not even almost not moving but I hit something on my front tire and I went down hard but the bike freshly got a bit scratched and my knee scratched.
What you can do is bear it to a bike shop and have them look at it.
If you just laid it down, not to capture your hopes up but USUALLY on a slide like that where you don't crash in disorder or sideways into a car...the bike usually is ok mechanically.
But thank God you are ok and be nontoxic my brother
Well thankfully you are all right, the bikes metal and plastic and can be repaired..
Hope you be wearing a leather suit or armour..
It is possible to cause damage to the gear selector but unlikely
As long as none of the side cases be perforated and you haven't lost any lubricants and the engine was kill before it ran on its side too long consequently the chances of internal damage are minimal.
Get some crash bungs and some reinforced aftermarket side covers from a spares supplier BUSTERS or M&P contained by UK both run mail order and will export ( if your outside of the UK)
If you guess you're going to fall off after you will. But you can take preventative measures IAM courses in the UK and also the police BIKESAFE will edify you collision avoidance and hazard perception. check to see if there are courses offered contained by your area.
LEARN. CONVERGENCE OF A BEND from book called "roadcraft" this will relate you how to corner and show you where to back bad the throttle where to maintain it and where on earth to open up... making for a progressive ride
