Outlaw Bikers?

Boy oh boy, but this one brings back memories! Had a '77 Yammie XS 650 special. (I don't know what was "special "almost it, but that was what it was call.) Had a problem like that with mine, it would not stay lit at low speeds. Had a see start, so I could always get it going again eventually. Battery be fine, starter was fine. And that was the clue. The gennie be bad, and didn't give me plenty juice at low RPM to keep the motor lit!

Reminds of my first funny bike story. Hear me out if you enjoy time. I could keep it running if I kept the RPM up to over a grand. Well, I be stationed at Ft. Ord, CA when I had this bike. It was my first one. I be at the intersection of the I-5 gate when the bike started to act up.

I have cars before, and used to dump the tranny in gear when I have the motor revved up. I had stalled the bike twice when putting it in gear, and be tired of standing back up and using my leg for start power. I was also a bit embarrased since I be riding with buddies.

Yep, I did it. Got the bogger started, twisted the wick, and let out the clutch surrounded by one shot. I shot up in a wheelie. Tank was within my face in a heartbeat. Didn't know if I should crap or curl my watch. Couldn't wind the keep under surveillance, hands were too busy sagging on. Couldn't dump at the time since my sphincter had a death grip on the form.

I went throught the intersection front wheel up. Buddies said I be screaming like a girl all the course through it. Somehow, my right hand got a clue to consent to off the throttle, and my left pulled within the clutch after the front end finally came down. (I don't remember any big bump, she only set down lightly as far as I can recall.)

Oh yes, a polite time had all around, except when I finally come to a stop, my watch didn't it didn't need to be re-wound, but my rear legs end decided it needed some business taken contemplation of. After I cleaned out my pants at the nearest fast food amalgamated, I parked the bike and took a ride home with a good bud. (Don't close to the back seat. Like another pilot don't resembling someone else flying the plane he/she's in.)

Hope it's the gennie for you. Was a cheap fix for me back next. Less than 200 bucks. But then again, parts were still contained by the system, and the bike was not even ten years old. Hope you take your fix. Take care, ride safe. Ciao!
The clicking nouns is telling you the solenoid is bad.
The 2 considerable terminals on the solenoid - touch them both at the same time next to a large screwdriver (careful of sparks).
If the starter motor turns, the battery have enough charge and the solenoid needs replacing.

Do your riding conduct rationale you to...

you can try and charge up the battery or get it tested to see if it's suitable. then try and hook up jumper cable from another battery-operated or a car.then if that doesn't work you can borrow the instruction book from the library. see if autozone carries the starter if so they can test your infirm one to see if it good or not.

How do you toon your moped up?

What are some of the pros and...

Older bikes usually own problems with the alternator or battery. Replacement alternators are tremendously expensive which is why you see a lot of older bikes surrounded by the junkyard.

could be the stator, solinoid, battery, electrics (behind head light)

it could even be because it is just cold or damp.
common on those old nouns cooled motors.

i've never seen a used one ever run right or start first...second kick...usually 20!

Answers:    confident way to test if its your solinoid[which it prob it]..find the solinoid-there are 2 gelatinous cables bolted to it...switch bike on and bridge the contacts[the bolted[nut] ends] with a spanner..DONT TOUCH THE BIKE FRAME only just the 2 contacts...you will get a spark[but it wont shock you] and if it spins the starter then the solinoids at slate...simply replace with a identical one[most are interchangable.hope this help
