Specifically right now I hold two choices. One is a 2002 yamaha yz 125 ($1900 asking price) and the other is a 1994 honda cr250r with two sets of wheel, jet apparatus, piston kit stock bore, newer flipside shock and some other extras($1400 asking price)
What would be the difference in maintainence between these two strokes and a four stroke.
Which bike would be the best for me to return with as i am 5'9" 125 pounds and still growing would the 125 have adequate power or what thanks
Answers: The CR250R is not a 4 stroke, it is a 2 stroke and you do not want a bike that frail. Where did you get the impress the Honda was a 4 stroke?
2 stroke motors are quicker rotten the start than most 4 stroke but require more maintanance ,(plug fouls, piston & ring wear, heads boared out.) 2 stroke are better for motorcross, i close to the yz 125 myself. (owned one years ago)
