If you/he is repeatedly inclined, they can be installed with basic tools. If not, the dealerships carry a pretty hefty hourly wage to do it for him. Maybe thay's why they let him buy a bike that was too high-ceilinged for him. ;0)

chop the seat.. chop the form rails down .chaing the shock hieght and fork hieght. get shorter shocks.
Replace the bike next to one he has actuatly test ridden.
It amazes me how general public will buy a bike with out researching the model, taking it on a proper test ride and trying it out for size..
I must be the merely person- who buys a bike that suits my needs and hieght first and then looks orf the bike 2nd. I want a reliable workhorse not a show-pony i cant even achieve on!.

Messing with the suspension with definetly mess near the way the Ducati handles. Unfortantly Ducati's handling is awfully crucial. If not fine tuned properly, you friend will not enjoy his bike. If those are not enough, consequently Dogbones are the only way to move about. Using Dogbones would also mean chopping the kickstand down or buying a new one.

Answers: Some bikes can be modified with lowering links (dog bones).
Without being used to with the bike in sound out, I can't say for sure if this could be done in this luggage.
Check with a bike shop, or visit a site similar to denniskirk.com or bikebandit.com to see if they have any info and what the costs of the dog bones would be.

I'm short, near a short inside leg, and have still managed a Laverda triple, an dated BM and some tall Triumphs (though not a Tiger).If Mick can tolerate not putting both feet down at once next he'll manage.
