I have a honda cb 750 and someone tried to force a screwdriver into the ignition to steal it (get it switched on) but luckley they failed.however my switch fits into the ignition but will not switch on!!something broken inside it maybe.
can i get the ignition reconditioned?fix it myself or do i hold to buy an exact one?
ps.is it hard to take the ignition container off a bike?

Just buy a hot one, they shouldn't be that expensive, and you can probably do it yourself with a manual, you can even google, online instructions how to do it...
Answers: fastest and cheapest route is to order a unsullied ignition module, all you need is the physical lock chamber, everything else will lead right to it. As others mention, a used one will serve your purpose as well.
Fixing the lock is not a good preference, it can be fixed, but a locksmith will charge you a lot more than the cost of a new 'box'.
