I am 16 years old. I hold been ridding dirt bikes for 2 years now… I started ridding a quad (Suzuki 250)… that for more or less a year… then I get a dirt bike (Yamaha 230) and I have be riding that for the past 2 years, going on 3… how much experience would you guys read aloud I have? I have a feeling extremely confident while I ride my bike… enough experience to buy a street bike?
Ps. I own passed MSF, and have have my C & M class license for about 6 months now… and im lucky to voice no incidents.. im a pretty safe driver = )…
Answers: Even though, you hold some experience with riding dirt bikes, street is somewhat different. Be diligent and watch the vehicle around you to prevent a collision. Try not to go over 650cc for your first sport bike. Wear your gear when you want to ride. The driver of the motorvehical cause most motorcycle collisions with release to the motorcycle rider as the consequence. Be safe!
Sounds resembling you have ample experience to ride a streetbike, but be smart, and get a beater. Chances are you'll drop it even if it's simply putting it on the kickstand. Even after that, don't feel compelled to receive a sportbike and go riding around close to an asshat. If you really like motorcycles, and want to live long to delight in them, ride within the speed precincts, and save the race for the track- you've already shown you have a clad head on your shoulders by taking the MSF first.
