i'm 6 feet 2 inchs and 260 lbs. want to achieve in to fmx enjoy a 125 um (cheap) looking for a good 1990-2005
Answers: What's up Bro..... My first query is, Have you every done any kind of MX race? If not. You need too or at least possible go and practice at a MX track so your skills can be fluid you requirement to know how to read a jump and know what speed you call for and you need to have a feeling comfortable and loose in your riding. You stipulation to bump up to a 250cc 2 stroke(Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha) 1999-2006 the reason for this year span is for the "air box" because your going to cut out fragment of the side panels(for seat grabs), Suspension is what your going to spend alot of your money on, You own to beef it up stock will not work you will be replacing fork seals every week. I hope your not afraid of torment because your going to have alot of it(broken bones, bruises, cuts, pulled muscles, concussions, etc.) Practice is a everyday 4 to 10 hours(if you want to be good). The "Foam Pit" will become your best friend(that's undamaged nother topic).
I'm not trying to discourage you. But, it is a crazy sport and I know..... I'm a freestyle rider(7 years).
for fmx i would highly reccommend a 2 stroke due to their snappy and rapid throttle response. another benefit of a 2 stroke is that there are so masses on the market since the advent of the modern 4-stroke it is flowing to find one in hugely noce shape for very little money
i reccomend a 250cc 2 stroke
since you dont plan on doing much closed course motocross the brand bike you choose is pretty much up to you base on your personal preference...stick beside honda, yamaha, or suzuki as parts will be less expensive than a european bike
hope this help!
