He's 8 and a small 4'1". He has already have a jr50 and we just sold his KTM Pro Jr.. He can ride thoroughly good and handle a bike really well. My problem is his heighth. I'd love to put him on a 65 or something to that effect but they give the impression of being to stand a little too high for him. I've put him on a CRF70 and a DRZ/KLX 110 and he can fit those well. He loved the speed and quickness of the KTM and I'm wondering if he'll be disappointed beside the DRZ/KLX. I was of late wondering if there are any other choices I may enjoy missed. The problem with buying stuff approaching that for kids is that they grow so darn fast... He's 4'1" right in a minute, but in a few months or a year he'll hit a growth spurt, and pretty soon he'll be wearing your clothes and you'll own to look up to see his face! (happened to me three times!)
If you buy a bike that's a bit too high-ceilinged for him, as long as he can keep his foot on the pegs, he'll grow into it, but if you buy one that's only right, then pretty soon you'll be shopping for a bigger one again!

As next to most of the CR's and YZ's and so on, they all enjoy a terrific seat altitude! If your son has get used to the power/speed of his KTM, it will be a disappointment to get on something that doesn't verbs "like the ripened bike".
Does your son compete? Maybe go out to the local track and survey some MX races near the little guys and see what's going on with that mix. You might catch a more broad idea of what can be skilful in cc, as all right as the little guys dealing with a lofty seat point.
