The Vulcan is a good basic bike. If I remember correctly this is a low ruin bike. Single caliper front brakes, drums in the back, standard shocks, spoke wheel. Nothing fancy, not the most powerful, but a reliable engine. Just don't pay too much for it.
The bike itself is a good one. I would concern myself more with it's condition and how it have been maintained.
