I have a bandit 600k4z. I own changed the exhaust & gained in the region of 8 to 10 BHP. Also changed the filter, had is dynojet tested & set up, changed the sprocket to gain slightly more top end speed. is here any other easy cheap way`s to increase power output.
I'd be looking at rejetting the carbs, also some Iridium plugs, should produce a healthy increase.
Swap it for a 1200.
Better still look for the engine from an impulsive 750 SRAD and fit that engine,
It will fit easy
Or sell the robber get a GSXF750 and take the fairing stale of it if you want a naked bike or leave it as it is..
You'd achieve better money for the bandit and the money you save will support with the insurance.. Oh keep the exhaust and the filter off the 600 for the 750..
swap it for a FZ6
You've done all you can on the cheap, to take any more power it will cost you a packet to do any more, if you want more power consider a more power-full bike, the market is full of great low mileage bikes, I've kept my vfr bog standard and i did some advanced riding training which helped me find more out of the bike, good luck

Answers: OK. did you just replace the filter beside a replacement that fits in your air box?
If so after I would suggest from street fighter building experience that your next steps are:
Junk the atmosphere box and run individual carb filters (S&B,K&N etc)
Fit a factory ignition advancer (can be found in online shops such as M&P and Demon tweeks)
Fit a Dynojet stage 3 gear (new bigger jets for carbs running on race exhaust, individual filter etc)
Taylor HT leads
Dynacoil coils
And with a bike similar to the bandit 6...gearing for more top speed is the wrong way something like doing things...fit a larger REAR sprocket for way more ACCELERATION!
This way you procure to taste the fun more often as not a soul but a p rick rides flat out everywhere..lower gearing means wheelies off the throttle alone and route more go go be in motion where it counts.
