SV650S or the Bandit ( i dream up 600?)?

Alright so im trying to decide on a firstbike for me. I Went to a dealership and get to sit on a few and its between these two: the SV650S or the Bandit(600). What would you suggest for a new rider. I similar to the aggresive look and the partially in the buff look of the SV but i like the price of the Bandit. Also i be told that the SV has better handling which will be physical good for me i live surrounded by an area near lots of curves and turns. SO!! Can anybody give me pros and consand suggestions or counsel? Thanks in credit

Where can I rent a dirt bike...

Look, girlie, of late because you can ride a dirtbike it doesn't mean you can ride a streetbike. The lone advantage you hold over a total newbie is that you know how to shift, but that's it.

You do NOT know how fast an SV650 can walk if you twist the throttle (there is no dirt spewing on departure, you just GO), you do NOT know how powerful the brakes are, and you own NO IDEA how to handle the speeds even a "little" 650cc V-twin can do. Your dirtbike tops out at what, 50mph?

The prevalent idea that you MUST take out of your head is that it's OK to crash on the street, merely like on the dirt. Pick yourself up and maintain going, right? WRONG! You crash in traffic, and you're sliding at twice the speed you're used to into a concrete wall (if you're lucky enough to avoid one hit and/or crushed by morons in SUVs).

In short, a mistake on the dirt results contained by a low-speed tumble; a mistake on asphalt is FAR more likely to KILL you outright!

So up to that time you go getting a big guide about your "wacky dirt skillz" you need to do more homework more or less the reality of street riding. Then catch a USED SV650S, get tape emulators installed into the forks, and have fun.

I enjoy a 1979 Kawasaki KZ and...

A 650 for your first street bike IS crazy, regardless of how much dirt bike experience you hold. Stick to a 250 or 500 at the very most.

That said, the SV is a much better and much more forgiving bike.

Answers:    600 or 650 for a first bike girl are you crazy..... go next to a used kawasaki 250 till you are comfortable even that is a lil much for a trial rider. just my two cents sugar but you should ride around within the trails on a 50 dirt bike untill you know the controls really well... can`t bear to see a princess get hurt by too much of a bike ;)

What is the best motorcycle beneath 1000...

Sometimes i am ashamed at the means of access people treat "new" riders. Either bike is right for a beginner. Your cr 250 is road more bike than these 2 put together. Yes the street bikes are faster but they are far more forgiving.
I perfer the SV 650, it has more of an aftermarket following than the thug. The little vtwin is funner to ride, its power lower in the rev decoration, it is slimmer and has, within my opinion better ergos. Plus i own never seen the thief even come close in a comparison surrounded by any motorcycle publication. Also look at the new Kawasaki ninja 650 it is a nice little parallel twin and closer to the SV. Try motorcycledaily.com motorcycels-usa.com or motorycle online for reviews.
Have fun and i hope to see you doing a tour soon!!
