Whoa there G Blaken! Texas to Alaska? Are you kidding? You can't really ride that far on a motorcycle in need some sort of support team following you. The longest ride I have done is from San Francisco to Monterey and I feel like I was a tightrope rambler without a net!Pick up a copy of the Milepost magazine. It have a lot of travel info. Once you get on the AlCan Highway you will find lots of slush and rime on the roadway. Spring/summer is orange cone season so expect lots of detours and delays as the road crews work. That is also the start of tourist season so you might want to generate reservations rather than try your luck once you get to a motel. Take a camera, produce lots of fun memories, and write in a journal. Enjoy this wonderful experience!
