I don't know nearly price in singapore. The Yamaha FJR1300 is a better bike and the price will reflect that. The FJR is a 4 cylinder while the Vstrom is a v twin. The 4 cyclinder will run smoother and produce a tremendous amount of power. Personally, I approaching the 2 cylinder engines better. The 4 cylinder engines can run so smooth that you depend on the tachometer to tell you what the engine is doing. The 2 cylinder engines produce enough feedback that the tack is purely a nice extra. I usually ask myself, "How much power is enough?" The 2 cyclinder engines don't produce as much horsepower as the 4 cylinder engines. But, will hold their speed up and down hills minus shifting.
Both bikes, The FJR1300 and the V Strom 1000 are cross country touring bikes.
If ur not planning on riding from Maine to Alaska then both bikes are too much of a bike than what you need.
The V Strom 650 is the exact same frame as the 1000, but its singular slightly less power and torque and I would suggest the 650 is a better choice, including lower insurance rates and lower operating costs, and the V Strom 650 has an preference of ABS Brakes where the 1000 has none.

Answers:    The Yamaha FJR 1300 is probably the more complete, more comfortable bag, especially on longer trips. Although, you see them both used on Iron Butt events.

If money is no object, then it really is a personal nouns. test ride them both and then prefer.
