cdi component sits under form its the computer for the bike. if i was u walk off well along as its a hermetically sealed unit cost loads. ur bikes get 1 de restriced it make it move about a little faster but if dont communicate ur insurace company u ticket is void. ty simon

Basically it tell the spark when to spark. A race CDI is a fritter away of money on a speedfight. Fitting a race CDI will not generate the bike go faster or the top speed any greater. All it does is provide a stronger spark. To get the full effect you will call for an uprated ignition coil and uprated HT lead as capably as a cooler running spark plug ( a hotter one will just impart up and die)...........The only route to get a sophisticated top speed is to fanny about beside gearing....acceleration can be altered by new lighter vario rollers etc but top speed is fixed by the gears more than the engines horsepower.
My advice is to collect ya dosh for a 125 motorbike...more can be done to tune them plus you will get a fitting knowledge of how bigger bikes work too.
