howbout someone who truly rides, not the harley boy who trailers his bike to daytona so he can sit on it nice and shinny, not the sport bike guy who is to scared to ride his bike cuz he's not comfortable with the power and have flat spots on his tires from not leaning it over, not the guy with a dirt bike whos never taken it stale of a nicely packed dirt road, family who enjoy the sport dont worry to much almost the image and just love to ride!

im sorry to say but a scooter is not a biker.i see a biker have at least enough cc's to rob it on the interstate and drive cross country.even a dirtbike can go on the interstate as long as it has a headlight, working turn signals and mirrors.
Scooters,mopeds.and dirt bikes don't count below any circumstances. I don't care if anyone considers me a biker or not, I don't waste my time on such thoughts. I don't christen people RUBS, Squids, Tools, or any of those strange names that appear to get tossed all over this section(mostly by family that are probably a combination of all). If it rains I drive my car. God give me enough common sense to do that, and I'm not trying to impress anyone by riding contained by the rain. I've been riding Harleys for almost 35 years, I still haven't figure out what life style people maintain talking about. It's only just what I've been doing for as long as I can remember so I give it no extra thought. I close to t ride with friends and family and sometimes we can single get together on the weekends so some people might bid us "weekend warriors". I call it "working for a living" and that's the only time we can grasp in a ride together. I do all my own wrenchin' and plentifully of everyone else's.

That pretty much seem to sum it up if you ask me. I've been on a Harley riding with guys on sport bikes, dirt bikes, even little Honda 250's. I can't speak I've ever ridden with anyone on a scooter, but that's not to say I wouldn't. I ride so lots different bikes myself that it really doesn't make any difference to me... it's not about what you ride. :)
But it's also a mindset. I expect, most motorcyclists I know are probably some of the nicest people you could meet. Of course there's different school of thought. I've actually been flipped rotten while waving to a passing Harley rider past. Only to run into him later while riding a Harley myself and he's all buddy buddy next to me until I tell him "You know you flipped me off the other daylight." That to me is more like a poser rather than a rider. Someone who's riding for the attitude a bit than for the love of it. A true motorcyclists is doing it for the love of riding. They are the guys that you'll see riding in the rain (like I did today heh) and they'll usually hold more than 1 bike since there isn't a single bike that can fit EVERY purpose.
