Honda cr 125r?

Cubic cemtimetres.it's the cubic capacity of the engine

It's the internal volume of the engine cylinders that fire the petrol/air mix that produces the power.

In theory at smallest the bigger the cylinders the more power they produce.

CUBIC CENTIMETERS -----of Displacement----

Displacement is defined as the total volume of air/fuel mixture an engine can draw in during one complete engine cycle. In a piston engine, this is the volume that is swept as the pistons are moved from top motionless center to bottom dead center. To the layperson this is the "size" of the engine. Motorcycle engines range from smaller quantity than 50 cc (cubic centimetres), commonly found in many mopeds and small scooters, to a 6000 cc engine used by Boss Hoss within its cruiser style motorcycle BHC-3 LS2.

cubic capacity ,
The size of an engine is referred to as it's cubic size and is pretty easy to work out. Basically you are trying to calculate the nouns of a cylinder that is from the top of the piston at bottom dead center, to the top of the vat.

Answers:    Well as previous answerers have said, "cc" means cubic centimetres.

But it is the displacement, not the size or power.

Displacement is the amount of volume from one extreme of piston movement (Top Dead Centre) to the other extreme (Bottom Dead Centre).

cubic centimeters
describes the level of power of the bike
ie 250 cc is a low power bike while 1200 cc is a highly developed power bike

Do you ponder it is abnormal that...

Yes it is cc as everybody here has said. And I don't think that anybody should be getting down on you for asking a simple cross-examine. Since you do not know, then you may be young, or you may freshly be thinking of getting a motorcycle one day. I don't know, but I think everyone should bequeath you a benefit of a doubt, because it is not something a troll would ask.

As stated, cc stands for cubic centimeters, and is a measure of a motorcycles engine size. And in language of practical use, it also tells you how powerful your motorcycle is.

50cc bikes are usually relegated to scooters (or old dirt bikes) that can't run on the freeway. A max speed to expect is going on for 40 mph.

100-200cc bikes also are generally not for highway use (though there are exceptions and 'dual sport' dirt and road talented bikes). and their speed is around 60 mph tops.

250cc is pretty much the 'entry level', bare minimum engine size you need for mortal able to hit the highway. Keep in mind it is not the 'recommended size' for highway use, but the lowest you should possibly have to be safe riding next to fast moving cars. Top speed is about 80-90 mph (though some claim theirs can dance to 100mph+).

400 to 1000cc's is starting to get into more powerful motorcycles. 400-750 cc is a 'midsize' bike. Not the absolute fastest, but pretty brisk. These can be full out sport bikes with blazing speed, or regular 'commuter' bikes.

1000cc+ or the "liter bike" is the big boy of the motorcycle world. Generally NOT recommended until a rider has developed sufficient skill on the smaller bikes. The 1000cc+ bikes you will see are largely either 1) superfast sportbikes--->basically some of the fastest street lawful vehicles on the planet, or 2) big touring bikes--such as Harley, BMW, or Honda Goldwings. With the sportbikes, the large engine is for pure speed. On the touring bikes, economically they are built bigger for better comfort on long distance rides, and they need the bigger engine to move them.

I hope this gives you a better penetration of figuring out the cc displacement--and it's power and utility.
