You get what you pay for and you really don't want pieces falling sour when you are flying down the road at 50 MPH.
Don't buy a no name brand online. Do research, check the BBB, check Google, etc.
Stay away from anything out of mainland China. Check the used market for a part used scooter from Europe, Japan, Taiwan, Korea. You'll be happy and safer in the long run.
Well if you're anywhere near Key West, Florida you shouldn't hold a problem looking for a scooter. There's more there than the amount of free roaming chickens on the streets.

If you're looking for NEW, I have hear that this online sources ships and that the total price in your driveway's a pretty good promise. But I'd check around. (I don't have personal experience buying a NEW bike online)

you cannot enjoy your cake and eat it to is what your question say to me... the cheapest will never be the best. If you are looking for something that is the best you will pay more and purchase a NAME brand reliable appliance. If you want something cheap do not plan for it to work all the time or be able to grasp replacement parts when it does not work.
