Why won't my dirtbike run?

I have a KTM 300mx (2-stroke). It have gas and spark and some times it almost starts. if I let it sit for a moment or two while and kick it it almost starts. I kicked on it and kicked on it. So i figure it might be flooded so i held it wide spread out and kicked on it and nothing. It have a new spark plug. I hold some one who wants to buy this bike when I return with it running. I have to go it to fix my RM125. If someone could help that would be awesome.

Scavenger HUNT!!!?

Answers:    when be it last run? if it's set a while, the gas could be doomed to failure...

but it merely sounds like it's flooded or have a fouled plug (best case). pull out the antiquated plug, press the kill button and see it over 8 to 10 times, release kill button, install alien spark plug and try again. it should start up in a couple of kick.

if not, KTMs are disgraceful for the connection of the spark plug boater to the spark plug wire. this is slickly fixed too with a sharp utility axe (or any sharp knife). using a unscrewing twisting motion, unscrew the spark plug cap past its sell-by date the spark plug wire. trim 1/4 to 1/2 inch sour the end of the spark plug cable (it has a silicone/graphite core, no copper wire). next using a screwing on motion, center the verbs of the spark plug cap into the center of the spark plug lead, screw it back on stopping when the bonnet is pointing in the proper direction to mount stern to the spark plug. stick the cap rear legs on the plug and repeat kicking a few times. it should start.

if still nothing, I would run a compression experiment on the cylinder... you might need a top running out (piston / ring kit)...

have owned several KTMs (both 2 & 4 stroke)...

hope that help!

The ginger county choppers?

It sounds as if it's just worn out and you call for to do a top end. If you hold gas, spark(at the right time), air and compression it will run. If you can gain a compression tester on it. Is the spark plug wet beside gas. Kick it over with the plug out. Gas should spray out the cylinder. If not you necessitate to get into the carb and verbs the jets.
