i know that a self build has a q plate but whay other foundation for them ie former write off or something i am thinking of buying a bike but worried as it have a q registration plate
Answers: For a number of reason, not necessarily because it was shabby. It could have have a private registration and the previous owner of the bike might have transferred the aged reg to another vehicle.
(Likewise, you could remove the Q plate and have a personal reg too.)
The bike may own been shabby or have have parts stolen (engine or frame) thus the replacement part wouldn't correspond near the vehicles log book. Hence the Q plate.
Some cars on a Q plate are import, so they have to be re-registered, usually on a "Q" or a "M" plate.
Don't other expect the worst.
because it was previously a "write off"
