what happens after you crash into someone and you go and get the police report a few days later? is near anything i should be doing or worrying about??
Answers: You should enjoy already notified your insurance company. If the quirk was your condemn, your insurance company will cover the damage to the other folks car. IF you own full coverage on your car, later they will cover the damage (minus the deductable amount) to your vehicle too. If you only enjoy liability coverage, they will NOT cover damage to your vehicle.
If the other driver be at fault, next their insurance company will pay for the damages.
Your insurance company will distribute you a questionaire for you to detail your account of the coincidence. You should include a copy of the police report with the questionaire. If you carry correspondance from the other driver or their insurance company (or their attorney) asking you to sign anything, I would recommend NOT signing it until you consult with YOUR insurance company or an attorney of your own choosing. If they bug you for information, simply volunteer to supply them with the disaster report number and the police station location where the report can be obtain.
Bottom line is the insurance companies want to document what happen and who is at fault so they can determine their own liability and who is entitled to what.......
