Airbags while pregnant?

Is it possible to have my airbag surrounded by the drivers side of my car (i enjoy a 2007 Pontiac g6 sedan) temporarily turned off while i am nearing the finale of my pregnancy--my concern is that in a boss on collision the air daypack deploys so quickly that it could snuff out my unborn child--i am a very short character and already have to sit relatively close to the steering wheel surrounded by order to drive comfortably and by the time i draw from a belly in there--it will be really thorny to sit away from the steering wheel--any suggestions

Answers: Tough situation. If you are truly concerned, I would keep your driving to a minimum as you approach your due date.

Let me ask you this... within the event of a head on collision, which would you contemplate would be better for your baby... a cusion of nouns or the steering wheel? Granted, any could be bad, but I ruminate I'd stick with the atmosphere bag.

If i be to stern into...?

It is possible. If you or any of you friends are repeatedly inclined, go through your instruction book, find the airbag fuse, remove it. This will trigger the "srs" air purse light to move about on. But it will turn off the airbag system. Or, you can remove the airbag assembly from the steering tiller. I would not recommend this route if you do not know what you are doing, as the airbag can deploy.
