Any tips for a starting point driver?

Alright, I've gotten my learners charter, and I'm trying to learn to drive. I get my learners give or take a few 4 months ago....a long time, I know, and we live beside a not-often-traveled area that I've driven within twice, and now my mom think I'm ready to help yourself to on driving in town, a 30 mph drive. I've singular driven twice and I've never driven on roads with relatives on them, and I'm very, VERY apprehensive. I've never crossed 30 mph on the secluded roads I mentioned quicker, and I just don't know if I'm all set, but I know I have to go and get used to driving in town sooner or then. Are there any tips for me? As I said, I'm a slow driver, and I've never driven around other traffic previously. There won't be much traffic on the streets I drive on, anyways, perchance I'll pass a couple of cars, no red lights, but it's satisfactory to get me jumpy. When were you prepared to drive in town? I only just need some counsel! XD
