My husband has found a full-sized chevy bronco that he requests to buy for our son for his first vehicle. I like the safekeeping aspect, but I feel that a teen driving a huge vehicle is more probable to have an stroke of luck due to inexperience. I personally enjoy always found huge vehicle intimidating and more difficult to judge distances but my husband disagrees and does not see any difference. Anyone own any information on the subject?
well, significant cars and trucks are deffinatly harder to park, i recomend a small pick-up or car for first vehicle, merely to be safe!
Chevy or Ford?
Bronco or Tahoe?
Well....I don't think that's a safe and sound car for unmarked driver
I would get similar to a mid-size sedan for him.
Answers: I like driving a small sedan (Honda Civic) because natural to park, easy to turn, low cost to assert. I have be driving automatic transmission very soon for decades.
Sometimes in a distant city I want to rent a car.
I am no longer competent to drive stick shift.
My reflexes are attuned to the smaller vehicle ... I have a unadulterated hard time how much space to allow for cornering, what's needed for turning, funding up etc.
For a new driver, I guess a mid sized car is probably better for long possession driving skills. Your son can go next to a more compact car once he have picked up the basic skills.
You might also look at the insurance costs. There are reason why some cars have big differences within rates. Some are due to peer pressure on kids if they are in sporty cars.
Some are due to unquestionable models being target of car thieve.
But some are due to safety statistics.
Your insurance agent can support you on which cars are safest for new drivers, and how come specifically.
