My son get hit by a hackney carriage from behind. He be approaching two line highway where on earth speed limit is 40 mph. He already made his safe and sound turn after checking traffic from left and go almost 30 ft after stop sign. Taxi was contained by left lane of the highway and hit him from hindmost. Taxi front left be damage, both airbags both inflated. My son's 199 pontiac montana minivan flipside left tail oil lamp damage, and tail total admission money damage. Rear bumper be thrown from left to right side of the road.
Cop give him ticket instead of taxi, that he did not stop at stop sign and has-been to stop and yeild to incoming traffic.
I can't understand, why did he attain ticket, when he already passed the stop sign, after checking traffic properly, no one on his right lane from far departed. Taxi was coming from far surrounded by left lane. My son turned surrounded by right lane. When taxi did unsafe lane transmute at last moment, by not engrossed on raod and no tire markes on the road which say he did not apply brake at all.
Answers: Take pictures, and enjoy any possible witness statements available, and go to court. Looks resembling the taxi be in the wrong, by any improperly varying lanes, or shifting lanes contained by an intersection (yes, that is private.) Take it to court, and bring lots of pictures, and statements. 30 feet isn't that substantial of a distance, but it does show that the cab be changing lane in an intersection/shortly thereafter, due to the not here side of the van being tattered, and right side of the taxi. (you did say aloud left front of cab, which doesn't make sense/wouldn't be possible unless the minicab was at an askew angle to the roadway, so I am going to assume you expected right/passenger side.) If your son had pulled out within error, then the hackney cab would have t-boned him, or would hold had complete front wrap up damage.
