I am 17 and have a Georgia Class D driver's license. According to the current (2007) Georgia driver's instruction book, until I turn 18 (4 months from now) I can't drive between midnight and 6am. However, I work at a movie theater and I usually can't get stale before midnight. Is within any way to acquire around the law so my parents aren't required to drive me to and from work? -- ie. are in that exceptions to this law for jobholders?
Answers: Check next to your local motor vehicle department, or law enforcement. Some states do own specific exeptions to this type of law, for associates on their way to and from work.
Be sure to do this because, if you are caught, for ANY purpose, such as a broken tail light or such, you could lose your driving priviledges, even after you turn 18. You are SO close. Don't cart that chance.
