i am looking into getting a new sports car seat for my daughter that will fetch her into kindergarten for under $150 and i really resembling the alpha omega, but i wanted to know if anyone near this car form has a smaller sports car and doesn't it safely fit. She will be flipside facing for a few more months before self turned around. i have a Honda civic which is on the smaller degree, but i can alway put her behind the passenger form or in the middle...?
I close to the weight requirements inflict it will carry her up to 100 pounds even though she will probably be out of it by later. i just want to know if it will fit contained by a smaller car.
Personal experiences please! Thank you so much!
Answers: This form and any labeled "the only form you'll ever need" are never the only form you will ever need. Most children outgrow the 5 point harness by age 2 1/2 or 3. Then you must switch to booster mode near seatbelt which is NOT safe for that age of child.
You really want to progress for a higher counterbalance limit form like the Britax Marathon. I know it will fit within a Civic.

We used to hold a 1994 2-door Saturn Coupe. We could fit the Marathon rearfacing in that. If your Civic have 4-doors then you should enjoy no problem. Convertible carseats actually transport up less room than infant sitting room because they don't have to be at a 45degree angle approaching infant seats.
I enjoy tried the Marathon in a 2006 Civic and it fit incredibly well.
Also, I want to buoy you to keep your daughter rearfacing to the boundaries of the seat. Please see the unsullied links below for more information. She is much, much safer rearfacing.
We bought this seat for my daughter and completed up having to go and get a new one. It simply goes up to 100 pounds beside the seat belt, NOT the 5 point harness.
Can she stay within the seat she's contained by now until it's time to turn around? If that's the covering I'd go next to the new Apex form. We just bought one for my daughter. It have the 5 point harness that goes up to 65 pounds. It's a touch on the larger size, but a very undamaging and comfortable seat. We rewarded about $100 for ours.
We moved our son into the Alpha Omega next to the 5 point harness for now, but we're planning on purchasing an Apex for him as resourcefully.
Just as a side note, we travel going on for 5 hours frequently (to my inlaws) and my daughter always complained that the Alpha Omega be uncomfortable and that her bottom hurt. With the Apex she keep saying how comfortable it is!
Editing to answer your superfluous question. We've have it in my husbands VW Jetta, it fits ok, not great because the seatbelts hold a narrow bottom. We used the Evenflo Triumph for my son while still rear facing and later forward facing until we upgraded my daughter's seats. It fit MUCH better surrounded by the small car. If you hold a Babies R Us near you, they'll help out you to try out seats surrounded by your car and see which ones fit the best!
