I have to drive a lot, and I catch sight of that not many people in actuality use a turn signal when changing lanes... so I be wondering how many of you do, and why or why not?
I other use mine, and I get real barmy when I see other people not doing it. Especially when I am behind them!

But he will not use it in a situation close to the following:
In a left turn only lane, pulling out of our neighborhood within rural Maine, etc.. I agree that not using a turn signal in those situations is less of a problem than within others (like going from the HOV across 4 lanes to exit the I-60 in Arizona), but I still speak about him to use it every time I'm with him.
I think individuals are just too lazy to use them. Also, when multi-tasking, which is a doomed to failure idea when driving in my feelings, it may be a lot harder to use your turn signal.

Answers: I always use mine, and I get so pissed when people don't use theirs. It's dangerous to not, and inconsiderate. Using your turn signal, and putting it on near due time before turning, changing lane, etc... allows other people to maneuver around you, if need be. Like, I abhorrence it when people turn left through oncoming traffic minus a turn signal... Obviously it's dangerous for the oncoming traffic, but also for the people at the rear. If that person had turned their signal on until that time they reached the intersection, you'd know they were gonna turn, and could obtain around them (rather than being stuck behind them) in need having to go from a stop to a moving while the cars contained by the next lane are all moving. Etc...
Even as a pedestrian, if you're trying to cross, and waiting for your space, it's really helpful when drivers use their turn signal, so you know they're gonna turn, so you can actually cross knowing they aren't going through/won't hit into you/you won't cause them to slam on their breaks... so you know you have that clearing you're looking.
So yes... turn signals are awesome, and I other use mine. I think police need to start enforce the law and ticketing people who don't use their turn signals.
