Have you ever been driving the speed cut back (or even a little above) and looked into your backside view mirror with the sole purpose to see a car following right at the back you?
I can't see why following so closely is a remotely good hypothesis. If the driver ahead of you decides to slam on the brakes and you backside end them consequently you'll get the ticket. So I guess my most important question would be "Why risk adjectives the extra insurance costs just to bring somewhere a little faster?"
Answers: Some drivers purely seem to be attracted to the vehicle in front of them. I usually slow down until they settle on to pass me later try to resume the speed limit beside decent spacing. Almost as fruitless are those who will roar by, pull within front of you and slow to less than what you be driving. Passing them usually just starts them hindmost into the cycle again.
Some people do it freshly to be jerk-offs. It's happened to me twice where on earth someone would tailgate me although the traffic in the other lane be going much faster than me. Another time was when I kept trying to miss this jerk and he kept getting surrounded by front of me although we were the lone two cars on the road.
