This morning I saw a speed camera van, on a pretty much deserted 3 lane motorway, at 7am in the morning, when really its immaculately safe to speed a moment or two over the 70mph limit.
It be also hidden as best it could at the back a tree, although it was using the police speed ramp, it be obvious it have done its best to try and hide itself.
I am not opposing speed cameras but this is so obviously newly a money making exercise and I have lost adjectives respect for the police and the so called " Safety Camera Partnerships" over this, if you going to use speed cameras, do it contained by dangerous places, resembling in towns and village, not 7am on the safest roads in the arrive.
Whats your opinion? and for the transcription I wasnt speeding.
Answers: Using cameras as a money-grabbing method like this purely gives the anti-camera lobby more to moan nearly. I'm all for cameras if they are used properly - as a deterrent to speeding within areas such as schools, hospitals, disappointingly designed junctions etc. Drivers caught speeding within this sort of situation should be heavily fined for the first offence and not permitted on the second. If they still don't learn, appropriate away their vehicle and crush it while they watch. (If they are driving somebody else's motor, crush it anyway and let the owner matter with them)
P.S. Speed does NOT decimate - inappropriate speed does!
