Why, oh bl**dy why, do the modern generation of road crossers reflect THEY have complete right of track when wishing to cross the road at a zebra crossing? Twice contained by two days now I own approached a crossing, and although not driving too fast, if the pedestrain concerned even newly looked up to see me coming they should have tiniest have the gumption to stop at the curbside until I passed (or even for them to deduce that I MIGHT stop). But NO - they've just walk out making me break heavily to avoid a car/human collision. And then it's the look of total disdain they endow with you. The one today was even pushing a buggy near a small child in - putting the child first within line to be hit by my motor.
Am I right or wrong here?
Pedestrains (including me!!) should firstly look both ways for a clear road BEFORE crossing, and if cars are approaching, wait for them to stop BOTH ways ('explanation some idiot drivers driving the opposite direction sometimes don't stop - and bam, another sole dead)
Answers: I other thought pederstrians had right of channel on the road over cars, especially at crossings? Check the Highway code on that one if you want.
Surely it is the drivers responsibility to be aware of the surroundings and if near are crossings up ahead. If you had be paying enough attention, you would hold seen the crossing and the population in plenty of time, so as not to enjoy to break heavily. Your own fault near I'm afraid. Its like driving into the wager on of the car within front - your fault for driving too close or not engrossed.
most people presume that if the coup¨¦ approaching is not going too fast that they will see the being wishing to cross and stop contained by time. The pedestrian does have the right of course on a zebra crossing.
