I am fighting a speeding ticket and I'm trying to find out exactly how far apart the signs can legally be. I'm not sure if it is locally mandated or not. If you know that it is locally mandated, can you please report me where I might be able to find the specific decree for my area (Tuscon, Arizona)?
1- every time the surface you are on change classification (ie: road, street, beltway, dirt road, on/off ramp etc.)
2- and otherwise on interstates, I noticed they were other 50 miles apart or less, especially if there are tons grade changes(uphill, downhill, tight turns.)
Speed limit signs are largely posted between one and two miles apart on a road.
Check the Arizona manual

I am guessing here but I'm gonna say they probably don't entail to legally post a sign until the speed limit change. If it doesn't change for 30 miles then no sign have need of be posted for 30 miles. But that's just conjecture on my part.
Answers: Check with the Arizona department of transportation.
