How do I learn stick shift? I am currently 15. Turning 15 and a partially on 01/26/08. How do I learn stick shift when I procure my permit? Do I simply request to cram stick shift when I enroll in the driving institution?
Answers: Okay, let me share an experience next to you about "stick-shifting" since here surrounded by Malaysia, "stick-shifting" is a compulsory to obtain a driving licence. Here, everybody have to learn how to use the gear stick and the clutch pedal contained by addition to two other pedals of brake and accelerator. I already started "playing" next to clutch pedal at the tender age of 11! I know that some people who hadn't feel the clutch pedal before will discern strange operating it! By 12, I've already learnt how to shift gears! By 13, I've learn how to shift gear whilst pushing the clutch pedal, but all those be naturally short the vehicle started. By the time I was 17, I get my licence but was afraid to drive after a hit-and-run suitcase. By 20, I went to the wherewithal city of Kuala Lumpur and learnt confidence, living away from parents and so I minus fear volunteered to drive guide transmission beside or without skills, Right in a minute, I'm almost 23 and already driving manual nouns confidently, only have problems with steering (my judgement of a straight vertical string is still poor). Today as of December, I've already driven more than 50 different transmission vehicle (as an automotive personnel), inclusive of company cars, taxis and police cars (that's true!) for transfer, shifting and even test-drives!
Oh, and also note that study manual nouns is advantageous because you can drive both manual and auto transmissions reasonably with like licence!
