There was a crosswalk right at the stop sign, so I stopped right BEFORE that. However, near were so abundant cars parking right/left side illigally, too close to the corner so I couldn't see whether cars are coming or not since I am stopping too far behind from the point I can check and see. Do I still obligation to stop behind the crosswalk and unhurriedly start off slowly and see or I can purely stop right on crosswalk so I can see whether cars are coming. Thanks.
Answers: I will start by saying that some driving assessment cops are extremely picky and this may indeed be one of those "danged if you do, danged if you don't situations".
But what I would do is stop behind the crosswalk first, to allow any relatives crossing to cross. Look way up the street both ways and around the corners if you can for any approaching pedestrians BEFORE you make less burdensome up, because the officer will count off if you call a halt up stopping again and blocking the crosswalk if there's someone who needs to cross. Look as pious as you can for approaching cars, and then make less burdensome forward and look again as you get up close to the corner. Hopefully at hand won't be anyone right behind you that may rearend you if you enjoy to stop again. If you get to the corner and prominently it is still completely clear, you don't have to stop again, but if you see that in attendance are cars you couldn't see before, obviously you should stop again. Just cross your fingers that you don't end up blocking the crosswalk too long.
And don't forget to put your blinker on if you are making a turn at the intersection.
Good luck!
