Answers:    Running a press brake is effortless. It will take a touch experience to get obedient at it... like everything else. It's close to this...
1. Pick the right die set.
2. Insert the right dies, (Heavy long steel bars)
3. Adjust the shut height of the media to the dies and the amount of bend you want to put into the piece.
4. Test a brake. MAKE SURE YOUR HANDS ARE SAFE AND THAT THE PIECE WILL NOT COME UPI AND HIT YOU WHEN IT'S BROKE. AGAIN.. BE SAFE!!
Step on the peddle and see what you get.
5. Measure the piece to see if it is as specified on the drawing, or spec sheet.
6. After the piece comes out right, repeat steps 4 and 5.
This can be for objects that weighs a few pounds, or the bits and pieces may weigh several hundred pounds... depends on what the manufacturer is making.
Anyone that care about the ability of their work can do this, apply. The new CNC Press Brakes are trouble-free. some of the bending can get complicated, you'll revise quickly. Just one final word... SAFETY !!

Help! do you look to the right...

Most modern brake presses are computer controlled and are for bending and forming sheet metal. The operator take a piece of metal, sticks it partly into the contraption, and activates it near a foot pedal. The upper half of journalists will push down, pinching the sheet and bend it to a predetermined angle. It's how things like computer enclosure are made.
