View the vehicle and test drive it. If your not repeatedly minded, take a mechanic or learned friend with you.

Check that they in fact own the vehicle by making sure that they have the V5 document within their name, at their current address { that`s if you`re within the U.K. }. Then check their name and address through the electoral register.

Check the M.O.T. legitimacy on the net through VOSA. You`ll call for the registration number for that.

Don`t deal next to people who utter they`re advertising the saloon for someone who has no internet access/ for a "friend"/their mother/father/brother/sister.

Don`t do business with anyone who have a zero rating, or a poor sale record smaller quantity than 97%.

Any one who is genuine will brightly give the information you inevitability to carry out these simple checks: if they are reluctant to support you, forget it.
