Between J28 and J27 anti-clockwise on the M25 are 3 posts with averaging speed cameras on them. the posts are painted blue but the cameras are pallid so they are speed cameras not trafic master sensors. The have be in place almost 6 months there are no road works on this partition, so I guess if they are working they must be set over 70MPH.
Has anyone recived a speeding ticket for this section of the M25 and if so how in a hurry were you going? I'm more intereasted contained by slowest speed for a penalty. For those of you who don't know averaging speed cameras effectivly time you between 2 points surrounded by this case 3 and work out your average speed so ther is no point contained by brakeing just up to that time them, also if the limit is 40 you can travel the clause at 40 if it is 50 at 50 etc, with no trouble of getting a ticket, these camras tend to be used in road works hence my puzzelment to seeing them else where on earth
Answers: There were roadworks in attendance a little while ago, I cogitate to put up the cameras!
Should have a notice sign if they are operating but I don't think they are legally recognized on an "unrestricted" (70mph) road.
