An 86 year old female next door to my house should not be driving. She nearly hit my vehicle three times this year.
This week was the worst: She mistakenly turned into my driveway and when she realize it, she turned onto the sidewalk and drove on it to her driveway, missed hitting my dog by an inch!
She drives in the endorsement lane on the two lane highway going 30 in a 45.
I asked her granddaughter if maybe Granny should give up her license. She said "No. That would slaughter Granny."
Granny is going to kill herself and I don`t know someone else if she is allowed to keep driving. Who can I turn her surrounded by to so they will follow through and get her license revoked?
The police said they enjoy to see her before they can do anything. This might nouns funny, but it isn't. Our whole neighborhood is worried.
If it be me, I'd tell her "you a moment ago drove down the sidewalk and almost killed my dog. That's perilous, not normal and it's time to turn contained by your license!"
Then I'd follow it up with a complaint so the police win involved. Please do it before someone get killed.
this is a very tough entity to handle..
i just this minute had one and the same trouble with my dad..86 years outdated.
dmv refused to verbs his license. and when i contacted the local police they accused me of a form of elder verbal abuse
claiming i was attempting to restrict his freedom..
a month latter he was involved surrounded by 3 wrecks in 2 days
july 4th and 5th 2007..
when the police took his license he become so upset he had a heart attack and died....
so i deem the grand daughter might be right !
if you really thinking ...offer to drive her to the store and dr.
Answers: That could be considered elderly slackness and the children or grandchildren who are allowing her to endanger herself and others can be reported for neglect.
It won't do anything the first time but after a few times of different neighbors reporting it, the line will be forced to make a decree.
You might also call the DMV and ask their belief.
know these things are intensely true my dad had cancer on the brain and concluded up a hill and into a lighting pole years ago i was beside him police did not get involved on this however it could of been lots worse the pole be tuft or it would of fallen on us they claimed it human being on privet property they could do nothing.
