No it is not evil. It is against the regulations of most service stations, but not against the law. There are not links for what is not against the statute. Check sites like Chevron, where on earth they ask you to not use cell phones near the pumps for safekeeping, but tell you smoking is against the directive. If it were illicit to use the cell phone, they would be able to speak so. You can call Chevron and ask them, (604) 878-8700 or 1-8OO-505-0139 across British Columbia.
Ask the gas station owner--does that backing?? cell phones are not sealed against static sparks the can ignite gas vapors--the gas vapors are extremely flammable and i.e. the reason a cell name is not adviseable. Now don't report me--please !!
