I have a 2008 Mazda 3 that have 6 airbags. I wanted a unbelievably safe coup¨¦ because I drive my sister to LA alot (about an hour 1 way) because she does acting and modeling but she's only 11 so she can't drive plainly. She likes to sit within the back and tend to fall asleep against the door. I be wonder if there be any danger to her if if the side nouns bags go off. If she's against the door, is near a chance that when the side curtain deploys, that she'll be between the door and the airbag (hence defeat the purpose of the airbag)? If it is unsafe for her to lay against the door, are there any safer positions for her to sleep within?
Have her sit in the reverse middle seat and put a pillow, or even an infant safekeeping seat, within the left or right backside seat for her to lean against.
i don't think it is a angelic idea for her to lean against the door. (if ur one of the few that safekeeping about their annoying little sibling.)
if she cant stay awake surrounded by the car she requirements to go to sleep closer instead of playing halo 3 partly the nite :) the safest place is sitting up.
Answers: If you want a "very" safe motor, get a SAAB, Volvo or Mercedes.
Leaning against any airbay deployment system can be deadly. Read the directions in your owner encyclopaedia or on the required stickers near thier location (Sunvisor, door all right etc)
