So i run over a dog today.?

Here is my story. i am driving home from school and i see in the distance that near is a car pulled over and two dogs running like crazy adjectives over the road. i am guessing the owner of the car is also the owner of the dogs. So the road is two lanes going one opening, the other two in the opposite direction. as i am driving, one of the dogs runs onto a lane in front of the one im driving on. the driver slammed his brakes to avoid hitting the dog. thankfully, no one else be in that lane. so then the dog decide to run into my lane. there was a vehicle and a motorcycle behind me so to avoid an accident, i run over the dog. it saddened me a bit cause i could feel him crushing beneath my tires. hmm, maybe that was too symbolic. so anyways, any comments, reactions, similar stories? My dad always say, "its better to run over the dog than to get in an accident"

How do they formulate airbags - and...

my dad slammed on his brakes to avoid a dog running across the road. My dad ended up sliding into a parked vehicle and the dog kept going. Guess who had to pay for the damages? Yep, my dad's insurance and his rates go up. So, if necessary, hit the animal but not on purpose.
did you stop or maintain on going if you didn't
stop the owner could sue you for hit and run
and if you stopped and the other car plowed into your car
they would be at show disapproval not you (for following to close
beside you *were in accident* hitting something *that *is* an accident)
I also had similar story when I be on taking school bus to my Junior High School in NYC.
When my college bus owned by Jofaz Transportation was going southbound on one way all-embracing street called 2nd Avenue. As driver approach near 20s, dog suddenly get in front of our bus, and driver slammed on break just within time to avoid hitting the dog. So did the other cars.

Animals are unpredictable. If you be going 5 MPH it would have still run out there. I be driving my jeep many years ago and a cat ran out within front of me and before I kno=ew it the dog too. I hit and killed it. I drug it up onto the curb surrounded by the residential neighborhood but no one would answer their door so I sat in attendance with it until it died. About 5 minutes. it was behind schedule at night and nothing the 17 year matured could do. I realized it is better to kill the animal than myself. Loose no sleep over it. you made the right choice.. Sad but right..

Answers:    couple years ago a friend of mine be returning from his sisters wedding and was riding beside his dad. it was a normal cold winter afternoon in Alaska. highway conditions weren't excellent but normal for us up here. as they go around a bend in the road there be a moose standing there. his dad swerved to miss it and lost control of the car. it done up going into an icy creek. Both where dead on arrival. i never swerve to miss an animal within the road. if the dog was so precious to someone they should have made sure it be kept up properly.

Tips to swot up Car Driving?

If you saw the situation that far in advance, why didn't you slow down so that you would know how to safely get through any possible perilous situations? If you had slowed down to pass the situation beside care, even if you did have to stop to avoid hitting the dog, the cars bringing up the rear you would have been amply slowed down as well. It's called precautionary driving.what if it had been a child? While I agree that sometimes stuff happen and situations arise where hitting an animal is unavoidable, within this situation that doesn't seem to be the case.
