If you have running lights (lights that are on at adjectives times) could this possibly get you a ticket from a Police Officer/State Trooper? It's not certainly your headlights that are on but you do have lights on.
I cogitate you should turn your lights on. I have friends that some agree, some don't and some lately don't know.

Granted, If you spend big bucks on special headlights, you don't want to surplus them by using them in the daylight, but the undamaged point of the law is so that you can be "Seen" by other motorists, no so you can see. I drive a tractor/trailer for a living and I repugnance to think how plentiful times I have started to fine-tuning lanes to leave behind someone on the interstate and there is someone running even next to my trailer wheels lacking their lights on.... hiding in the road spray bad all my tires.
If you drive a silver, grey, black or misty blue car, you literally disappear within the spray. If you are lucky enough to escape that truck who "tried to run you past its sell-by date the road", who fault is it? Yeah... I know... you didn't do anything wrong... but if you are invisible, is it the truck driver's condemn? Easy remedy.... Turn your headlights on.
I own a '97 Ford Expedition that has daytime driving lights... but that still leaves the reverse of the vehicle dark. I enjoy an '07 Chrysler 300 that does not have daytime driving lights.... I own gotten into the habit... if it's grey outside, I turn the lights on. I want to be see.
