Ive received a letter stating me and my vehicle be flashed speeding,it recorded a speed of 84mph within a 40mph zone,the thing is it be at 11;40pm in a town 25 miles away and i know for sure it wasnt me.I own a new little one which is stressful enough and presently i dont know what to do.Can the speed camera be wrong
Answers: Take your car the communiqu¨¦ and your driving docs to your local police station, Also take a camera next to you preferably a disposable one.
Show the letter to the police state it wasn't you and procure them to take the pictures of your vehicle. then distribute the details to the DVLA or take them instinctively to the LVLO..
Don't sign or hand over anything in need a receipt.
If they insist it is your coup¨¦. ASK for full disclosure for a trial at court. They will need to provide two photos of the sports car taken going through the speed camera and provide you with details of where on earth the images be obtained.
Take your saloon to this same location and at a quiet time park the motor on the markings and take pictures from below the speed camera to compare with those provided.
Ask the prosecution to provide details of when the camera be last calibrate and the proceedure for the calibration. If it hasn't been recallibrated surrounded by the past 6 months after ask them to do so
This is where most police forces slip up as they own to remove the camera and the speed detector and boxthem up seperately and they have to be logged and sent rear to the manufacturer, which for the gatso is surrounded by italy.. BUT both parts can't be sent together and have to be sent seperately.
