Under the Minister's proposals, motorists could in adjectives be banned for single two speeding offences instead of four as at present, if for example caught by a speed camera doing 90mph on a motorway even when at hand is no other vehicle in verbs at the time of the offence. This is one proposed when official data show that the majority of fatal accident are due to factors excluding speed (e.g. 57% are due to human error in "perception, attention or memory") and the endorsed and apparently hushed up statistics showing that in those areas of the U.K. where on earth there are no speed cameras, calamity rates appear to be lower than in those parts of the U.K. that hold speed cameras. So could this be just a big red herring so unjustifiably directing attention away from where on earth it needs to be directed by the U.K.'s imperative makers and imperative enforcement authorities, and so perhaps decreasing to some extent than increasing safety on our roads overall?
Answers: For those those who drive for a living like myself, (never have any points on my licence incidentally) it will be harsh to loose your licence for merely two offences, especially if it is by a small edge, or on an empty, dry, straight, and so relativley safe road. If marginal infractions are given reduced fines and points next fair satisfactory.
The government is taking the wrong direction near regards to speeding. Speeding contained by itself DOESN`T kill. If it did, everytime someone exceeded the curb, someone would die! It is a contributing factor in abundant accidents, granted, but impossible driving skills and other factors are far more death-defying. eg, speeding on a motorway is ok if you leave a suitable hole from the car contained by front. If you are speeding and tailgating, afterwards you are asking for trouble...the cause of any quirk would not be soley speeding, but the tailgater`s bad driving conduct.
I agree speed should be kept down in urban areas, especially close to schools, but citizens jumping red lights, desperate lane discipline, and drunk, intoxicated or tired drivers are more dangerous than speeding alone. People crossing the road in need looking (happens far more than you would think) is something that is no longer address. I was qualified the "Green Cross Code" when I was young at heart. Now, if you get knock down by a car, it is automatically the motorist`s blame; Not always the skin. slowing drivers would pehaps reduce death should an accident crop up, but educating people that roads are for vehicle and are to be treated with perfectionism and respect would prevent most accidents within the first place. In any case, if you spill out or get hit within the wrong way, it is possible to die even at low speeds.

A recent addition of a camera to a road in the vicinity is evidence of this as there enjoy been no accident for the last three years and is bordered by woodland on both sides.

However, there will other be drivers who believe beyond their ability or a moment ago choose to ignor it, and so some form of limitation should be maintain. However, it would best be served by the removal of speed cameras and putting more police traffic officers doing a tour.
As a motorist myself, when I'm driving in areas next to speed cameras, I spend more time staring at the speedometer rather than the road which I consider to be more terrifying straight away. As for other roads, some users would be over cautious and drive mode below the speed limit which irritate other drivers. Then they front to irrational takeover...
